Kristen McGourty

Mrs. McGourty is a 1997 BSN graduate of St. Josephs College and a 2004 MSN graduate of Simmons College. She has been an IBCLC certified lactation consultant since 2005. Her interest and love for supporting nursing mothers and their families to meet their own breastfeeding goals started while she was a Maternal Child Health Nurse with the Visiting Nurse Association of of Boston in 2000. Kristen has been a certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner for 11 years. She gained her Pediatric NP experience at Westwood Mansfield Pediatrics. She also is a Clinical Instructor for Maternity rotations for both Northeastern University and Saint Joseph’s College.

Kristen is married with two children ages 9 and 7 and enjoys family traveling most recently to Hawaii. She is dedicated to fundraising for “Liam’s Leap” supporting Duchene’s Muscular Dystrophy for families and research. She joined New England Mothers First in August 2014 where she is now available to better serve Boston & Brookline mothers for home or office lactation problem and infant feeding visits. She is quite passionate about assisting mothers to achieve their own desired success through a common sense evidenced based approach and management of care.
