Amy is a 1994 graduate of Simmons College (BS in Nursing) and a 2004 graduate of the University of Washington, Seattle (Master’s in Nursing). She is dually certified as an Adult and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. Amy has been an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) since 2016.
Amy’s clinical experience includes over 10 years working as a RN in inpatient units including labor and delivery, antenatal, newborn nursery, general pediatrics, and postpartum nursing in Boston, Albuquerque, and New York City. After graduate school, Amy worked for 5 years as a nurse practitioner in a busy OB/GYN practice in downtown Seattle. Amy has taught Prepared Childbirth Education classes in the Boston area, served as a guest lecture with nurse practitioner students at
UW- Seattle, and has a special interest in helping LGBT couples become families. Amy lives in Boston and is married with two school aged children. She has long been a supporter and advocate of the breastfeeding family and is delighted to work with a grassroots nurse practitioner practice with such dedication to helping the entire family adjust to a new tiny member. Amy does home visits in the Boston area.

Please note, NEMF does NOT bill under YOUR Affordable Care Act (ACA) Lactation Benefit. All claims are processed through the medical insurances of both the Mother and the baby according to your health care plan design.
HMO & EPO policies will require a referral from the mother’s Primary Care Physician as well as the baby’s Pediatrician. Copays, Co-Insurance, and Deductibles may apply to services pending each individual mother and baby insurance policy.
